Group Therapy
Our group therapy sessions provide a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals can connect with others facing similar challenges. Led by experienced therapists, these groups focus on fostering personal growth, emotional healing, and the development of coping strategies. Whether addressing anxiety, grief, trauma, or relationship issues, our group therapy offers a safe space to share, learn, and heal together.
Academic Anxiety for Teens
Mondays: 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Led by Charnea Polite, Demetrious Walker and Shardonay Morgan, this group is designed to support teens who experience anxiety related to school and academic pressures. Whether it's stress about grades, performance, or balancing school with other responsibilities, this group offers a safe space to discuss challenges, develop coping strategies, and share experiences with peers. Led by a therapist, the group will help participants reduce stress, manage test anxiety, and build confidence in their academic abilities. It’s a place where teens can learn valuable tools for emotional regulation and set realistic academic goals, all while building community and support.
Adult Anxiety Management
Thursdays: 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Led by Dr. Dionne Mahaffey and Charnea Polite, this group is tailored to adults who struggle with anxiety, offering a supportive environment to explore triggers, identify patterns, and develop practical coping strategies. Through group discussions and guided exercises, participants will learn mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to manage their anxiety. This group provides a space for individuals to connect with others who understand their experiences, learn how to reduce anxiety in daily life, and build skills to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence.
Black Men and Emotional Safety
Mondays: 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Led by Farah Mohamoud, this group focuses on creating a safe and open space for Black men to explore and express their emotions without judgment. Participants will engage in meaningful discussions around the unique emotional challenges they face, including societal pressures, racial identity, and mental health stigma. The group will provide tools for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and communication, while encouraging vulnerability and connection with others who share similar experiences. It’s a supportive community where Black men can feel safe to share their feelings, break down emotional barriers, and promote healing.
Caregivers Support Group
Wednesdays: 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Led by Dr. La’Bianca Champion, Natasha Bussey and Demetrious Walker, this group is designed for those who provide care for a loved one, whether it’s a family member, friend, or partner. Caregiving can be a rewarding yet overwhelming experience, and this group offers emotional support, practical tips, and a sense of community for those navigating the challenges of caregiving. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, learn about self-care practices, and gain strategies for managing stress and burnout while maintaining their own well-being. This group helps caregivers find balance, reduce isolation, and feel supported in their important role.
Domestic Survivors Support
Thursdays: 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Led by Natasha Bussey and Dr. La'Bianca Champion, this closed group provides a safe, non-judgmental space for survivors of domestic violence to heal and connect with others who understand their experiences. Led by a therapist, this group will focus on empowerment, safety planning, and building healthy relationships. Participants will have the opportunity to process their experiences, learn about healthy boundaries, and explore self-care strategies to support their emotional healing. This group is designed to provide survivors with the tools they need to regain control of their lives and move forward with strength and confidence.
Grief and Loss
Sundays: 3pm to 4:30pm: Led by Dr. Dionne Mahaffey, Dr. La’Bianca Champion, Venus Thomas, Natasha Bussey and Demetrious Walker, this group is for individuals who are navigating the difficult process of grief and loss. Whether the loss is recent or from years past, participants will find support in a group of individuals who understand the profound emotional impact of losing someone or something important. The group will provide a space to share memories, express emotions, and work through the stages of grief. Participants will learn coping strategies to deal with the sadness, anger, and uncertainty that often accompanies loss, as well as how to rebuild and find meaning after grief.
Narcissistic Abuse Recovery
Date/Time To be determined: Led by Natasha Bussey and Ebony McCall, this group is designed for individuals who are healing from the emotional and psychological effects of narcissistic abuse. Whether the relationship was with a partner, parent, friend, or colleague, the lingering impact can be deeply disorienting and isolating. This group offers a validating and nonjudgmental space for participants to share their stories, gain clarity, and begin the process of rebuilding their sense of self.
Couples Group Therapy
TBD: Led by Venus Thomas, this group is designed for couples seeking to improve communication, deepen emotional intimacy, and navigate challenges in their relationship. In a supportive and confidential setting, couples engage in guided conversations, learn evidence-based tools, and connect with others facing similar struggles. Topics may include conflict resolution, trust, boundaries, and rebuilding connection. Whether you're working through a rough patch or simply want to strengthen your bond, this group offers a safe space for growth, healing, and renewed partnership.
Georgia Premarital Education
On-Demand: Led by licensed professionals, this online course and group supports engaged and seriously dating couples in preparing for marriage in accordance with Georgia’s Premarital Education Program. Couples will explore key areas such as communication, conflict resolution, finances, intimacy, and shared values in a supportive group setting. The program helps partners strengthen their connection, clarify expectations, and build a solid foundation for long-term success. Completion may also qualify couples for a reduced marriage license fee in Georgia.
